Rando Discrete Photo Sharing

There are hundreds of photography apps listed on the app stores now centered around viewing and sharing photography. Rando aims to distinguish itself from others by making sharing simple and anonymous. The only rules are you must gift a photo of your own to start, you will never know who receives it other than an approximate global location it lands. Likewise, the person who receives your photo will never know your identity other than your approximate global location.

Photos are given a peephole aesthetic by surrounding them with a circular frame. Almost as if your looking through an incredibly powerful lens to another part of the world.

The app has deliberately not incorporate social features. There is no likes, no comments and no direct communication making it very different from current social media mediums. However, as you collect Randos you build up a unique collection of social sights from around the world.

Random media sharing has been criticised in the past for circulating smut. Originally websites such as chatroulette where notorious for this. Snapchat has inherited a similar reputation among teens. To guard against such content Rando implements a flag content button to report such abuse and keep it clean.
